How do I become a panel member?

Who are you and what does your company do?

We are a private marketing research company who conducts studies for various clients. Our clients are looking for ways to improve their products, and to do so, they need to hear the opinions of many liquor retailers such as yourself.

Does it cost me any money to join this panel?

No, joining our panel is always free, and you will make money if you continue taking surveys!

Why do you ask personal questions about me (such as age, gender) when I join?

It is important for us to know certain things about you, so we can be sure thatwhen we send out surveys, we send them out to the correct people. There may be a survey where we need 50 people 21-34 years, 50 people 35-54 years, and 50 people 55 years or older - and by knowing this ahead of time we can be sure that those who receive the survey are the ones we need to complete it.

Why do you ask for my current business address and phone number when I join?

It is extremely important that we be sure that everyone who joins our panel is, infact, a liquor retailer. The address and phone number of your employer are collected so that we can check to see if you do indeed currently work there. The number and address will never be sold to other marketing companies.

Why do I have to answer the same personal information in surveys as I did when I first signed up?

This is to be sure that everyone's input is up-to-date. For example, you could have switched your place of employment since the time you first signed up. While it is always in your best interest to update your profile periodically, this ensures that the info we have is still accurate.

Do you share my personal information with other companies?

We never share your personal information, and all survey information is reported inaggregate.

How do I update my email address, postal address, password, or other personalinformation?

Simply log into your account, and make the changes under the "My Account" tab.

What if I forgot my password?

If you forget your password, simply click on the 'forgot my password' link in the login box. Your password will be emailed to you.

How do I stop receiving email invitations from your panel?

On the My Account page, there is a link to Opt-Out of surveys. And, should you want to Opt-In again, that link is on the 'My Account' page, too.

How much will I be paid for taking surveys?

You will receive points for taking surveys, which can be exchanged for cash when you reach at least 2500 points. The number of points you receive will depend on the length and/or complexity of the survey.

Where can I find out how many points that I have earned to date?

The number of points will be displayed after you log in to the 'My Account' page.

How do I redeem my points for cash?

When you reach 2500 points, you can simply 'cash out' and we will send you a check for $25.00 to the address you specify. Please allow 4 weeks before your check arrives. Or, you can choose to wait and your points will keep building. You can cash out at any time after reaching 2500 points, each 100 points will add on an extra dollar to your check.

I cashed out my points but my check still hasn't arrived. How long do I have to wait for my check to come?

Please allow 4 weeks for your check to arrive. If it has been 8 weeks and your check still hasn't arrived, please email us at help@behindtheregister.com

Can I refer another liquor retailer to join, and if I do, do I get rewarded?

Yes! You will receive 150 points if a liquor retailer that you refer joins the panel,and takes at least one survey.

Do my points expire?

While your points do not expire themselves, if your account has been inactive for a period of 2 years then your account will be deleted, and the points will become invalid. If you log onto your account periodically, your points will not be lost.

What email address will surveys be coming from, so I can add you to my list ofacceptable senders?

Our emails will be coming from the domain name 'behindtheregister.com'. Please allow any emails that come from this domain name.

How long do I have to take a survey after I receive an invitation?

This will vary depending on the response rate we get. For most surveys you will have a couple of days, but if it happens to fill up quickly, you may only have a day. If you miss a survey, don't be too concerned as you will be receiving more invitations in the future.

How often will I receive surveys, and how long do they take?

This will vary depending on our clients needs at the time. Surveys can be as short as 10 minutes, or as long as 30 minutes. This will also vary with each survey.

Why can't I use the back button to change my answers, or what happens if I made a mistake on a previous question?

Many times, a question that you may get depends on a previous answer... and if you go back to try to change an answer, it might throw the survey off-track. To avoid this, we don't allow backing up on most of our surveys.

The survey ended up taking longer than I expected, can I come back and finish it later?

Yes, you can just click on the original link again and it will take you back to where you left off. However, if the survey happens to complete before you finish it, (i.e. you wait too long before coming back to the survey) you may not be permitted to finish it.

I lost my Internet connection during a survey. Can I go back in and complete it from where I left off?

Yes, if you click on the original email invitation link, you will be able to go back in and continue from where you left off. However, if you wait too long to continue, the survey may have already closed and you will not be permitted to finish the survey.

Who do I contact if I have experienced a technical problem with my survey?

If you have any technical issues, please send an email to help@behindtheregister.com and someone will assist you promptly.
